Physiotherapy on Kent is located on Kent Street in the Kent Medical Building in Ottawa, 2 blocks north of Gladstone Avenue. The clinic can be easily accessed by Kent Street by taking the Kent Street exit on the Queensway. There is ample free parking for up to 3 hours on Kent Street. There is also a private lot next to the building, or sign/metred parking on the side streets perpendicular to Kent Street. If coming by bus, #1, #4, #7, #11, #51, and #56 will leave you steps away from the building. The clinic is also easy to access from the downtown, centretown, and Glebe neighbourhoods/business areas.

Physiotherapy is a traditional medical approach, the goal of which is to restore mobility and function while alleviating pain. Physiotherapy on Kent aims to provide high quality physiotherapy services in a cost-effective and time-sensitive manner. The treatment experience will provide a thorough understanding of the ailment, physiotherapy intervention, and most importantly, exercises and advice to speed recovery and prevent future recurrences. Our goal is to get you better and back to your optimal level of function and performance quickly.

We believe that what sets us apart is our commitment to spending time with each individual. The first appointment at the clinic is scheduled for 1 hour and includes assessment AND treatment. Subsequent appointments generally last 45-60 minutes, and no more than 2 clients are booked in a given hour. <blsbr><blsbr>Clients receive high-quality, honest physiotherapy services within a competitive fee structure. Joseph Federico is the owner and full-time clinician at Physiotherapy on Kent. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto Physical Therapy Program. Specialty courses at the University of Toronto included Rheumatology and Physical Therapy in Sports. After successfully completing all licensing requirements with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, Joseph focused his practice in the area of orthopaedics and sports injuries. He has taken courses with the McKenzie Institute International, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal pain, with the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, which follows the pragmatic assessment and treatment protocol of the Cyriax school, and "Mulligan" courses, which provide knowledge on manual treatment techniques developed in New Zealand. He continues to take courses to further his clinical knowledge, and is committed to professional excellence. Prior to and during his tenure at the University of Toronto, Joseph was an active rower. He was a member of the Thunder Bay Rowing Club and the University of Toronto Varsity Rowing Team. Joseph is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, He is an honest, professional, and personable individual. He will listen to your needs, and try to help you to the best of his abilities in a concise and ethical manner.
